Brooklyn's Sentence & Other Stuff You Won't Care About

Brooklyn says Hi Da-e back at Craig when he says Hi Brooklyn. The other day, she even said Hi Dada. Check it out:

In other news, my boss, Natalie, is in love with Hillary Clinton. She read her autobiography and thinks she is the smartest woman she's ever heard of. So the other day we were Natalie's house, because we had a HUGE fundraiser Friday night that Natalie and I organize and I didn't have anything dressy enough to wear (that fits), and I see this book that she read about Hillary on the shelf. So I ask to borrow it (along with a book on Princess Di that I haven't gotten to yet).

Regardless of political affiliations, I do have to admit that Hillary is a pretty smart lady. However, Craig said that since I'm reading Hillary's autobiography, I have to read Rush Limbaugh's autobiography next! Which I'm going to do, but only after I read the Princess Di book. I have read several Princess Di books, but I can't get enough of stories about her...she's pretty fascinating too.

So anyways, the moral is, I would recommend the book about Hillary. I'm only about half way through, but I always think it's interesting to read about other people's lives, even if I don't care for them that much. The one thing that I did think was funny, though, is when she was talking about sitting on the Wal-Mart board for six years, and they got so busy with Bill's campaign that she had to resign. Apparently this made her sad, because Sam (owner of Wal-Mart) had taught her so much about corporate integrity...I about fell off of my chair laughing. Then I remembered this was back in the day that Wal-Mart might have had some corporate integrity, even if they don't now.

Moving forward, here is a picture of my boss, Natalie (in the brown and orange) and the president of our foundation, Eileen (in the green) at our Comedy Night fundraiser. With Eileen & Natalie around, I'm not sure why this town needs a newspaper, but that's a story for another day.

This is our comedian, Clinton Jackson. The dude is from L.A., he was the only black person at the event, and he still managed to have everyone rolling...even the town coroner (who ended up the object of about 30 minutes of jokes, once Clinton asked him what he did for a living and found out he's the coroner)! If you ever have a chance to see Clinton, I would recommend him. He also writes poetry, draws, is on some TV shows, and I think he models some too. You can check him out at clintonjackson.com.

Sorry for the bad picture, it was taken from the very back of the dark room with my zoom...I was back there doing my organizing thing.

No one probably cares about any of that, but I just had to mention it since that is ALL I have been doing at work for the past several months. Natalie and I completely organize the whole event. I also have to do all of the posters, programs, bid sheets, item descriptions for the silent auction items, plan the whole night, brief the auctioneer, etc. We do have help from most of the Foundation Board Members, but they do most of the silent auction item collections and such.

Looks like your hard work paid off. I got wrangled into helping out with a charity fundraiser/ auction this past year and couldn't believe how much work it was! Hope you get a little rest now! Oh and...Brooklyn is such a cutie!!!

That video is great! I couldn't help laughing out loud, she's such a cutie! Unfortunately, I can't really sympathize with your organizational efforts...the only thing I have to organize is my next meal, and you can see what a challenge that is.
