Well, we've been busy the last few weeks, thus the lack of an update for a while. Among the many events:
A tea bachelorette party/shower for Megs:
Humbling happenings...let me expound here.
I’m a firm believer of late that when you start to get ‘too big for your britches’, shall we say, God finds ways to take you down a few pegs. For instance, I (as most parents do, I’m sure) think that Brooklyn is the smartest, funniest, cutest two-year-old that ever existed (no offence to those of you out there with two-year-olds). In fact, I don’t think that there is anything that she DOESN’T know. So, the humbling experience is this: Mom and I and the girls are at Pier 1 a few weeks ago, which, as some of you may know, has a full glass front and entryway. This full glass building also has a two inch tall metal bar, oh, say, about 2 feet, 8 inches off of the ground (Brooklyn is a little over 2’11, so you might see where this is going). So, my beautiful, smart, fantastic little girl sees her Gramma out front of the building carrying Hadley, so she starts running (full speed) toward her, giggling with glee and smiling. Of course, she ran straight into the window and nailed the metal bar with her face. I started laughing, because she hit the window at full speed, so she bounced and landed on her bottom about 4 feet (no exaggeration) back from the windows. I was laughing, asking her “didn’t you see the window!!”, until I saw that her tongue was bleeding and her eye was quickly getting black (it was a good think she had her head turned a little, otherwise it would have hit her square across the bridge of her nose and most likely broken it). Anyways, that was a reminder to me that she doesn’t know EVERYTHING! I felt worse about the fact that she was so happy when it happened, than I did about the actual injuries. You might remember that she had a black eye for her first birthday, and she came close to having one for her second! I guess there is still time…Picture of her eye, before it got very black (the bar actually hit a little below her right eye, so it just got black underneath):

(Gramps and Grams joined us for a bit...then stopped by the next day to let us know Dad & Mom's house got broken into! Good thing the guy didn't get much and left bunches of fingerprints. I always feel bad for people who break into the Friends' houses...no electronics, no jewelry...)

(Name that movie...)

We went to a wedding reception! Congrats Megs and Monte:

Brooklyn stopped to smell the roses...haha, I'm so punny!

Loved the update!! Adorable Girls!
Fun post & pictures!! I laughed - only YOU would have sympathy for the thieves breaking in and not finding electronics & jewelry! ha! :) Fun to hold your adorable baby the other night for a while! She's quite sweet!
Hey Joc! Been thinking of you all. Wish we could have come down for the reception. Thanks for all the updates and pictures! Cute videos too!

You are lucky that your whole family lives close and can have fun times together! Thanks for letting us share in it.
That was great! Thanks for all the pictures, they're always great. Too bad that pic of all of us at the wedding is fuzzy. It looks like we're all actually decent looking.
