Brooklyn got her first french braid last Sunday for Sp. Meeting.
It was more along the lines of...'Hey Mom, since you are here, I've really wanted to try a french braid on Brooklyn...I'll go get Hadley ready and check back in when you're done..." Good thing Mom has lots of patience...The 'sit still' concept is still a bit abstract for Brooklyn.

I am very impressed! There is NO way I could french braid such fine hair. Of course, I really don't get much practice around here. Good job Gramma Myrna!
I LOVE this post! I remember how cute Myrna always did your hair when you were little, Jos. Isn't that where she would practice your spelling words with you? :) She did a great job - very cute!!
I did have the most fun "fixing" Jocelyn's hair as she was growing up. Yes, I would ask Jocelyn her spelling words because it took every morning for the whole week for her to be able to spell them and then it was iffy! :) By Friday she was ready for her big test. Actually she did pretty good and it was the perfect time to get the spelling words practiced.
Cute pictures. I think Craig looks very nice in a tie...Did he change his mind about the fish tie??? It would prolly be too short on him anyway. I got this bag of ties from a friend in Wis. who is about 5'6". He's smaller than Craig to say in the least. HEhehe.
